3D model of my Premier 6000 series kick drum pedal, which I modelled using a standard poly modelling workflow in Autodesk Maya. Shown here is the base geo only. Note the absence of screw and bolt threads, footboard logo & detailing, knurling etc - the idea was that this would be done in displacement mapping for efficiency of geo.
I chose this asset as it had more complex forms than previous assets I had done, which I knew would provide a challenge in terms of topology! I also aimed to match the proportions of the reference 1:1.
